Two Pre-Primary years build the basics — letters, numbers, listening, sharing — mostly through guided play. From Grade 1, learners move into the structured CBC subjects, but the pace and the classroom still respect that these are young children, not miniature adults.
Class sizes stay small at this stage on purpose. A learner who's stuck should be noticed the same day, not the same term.
Phonics, early reading, and confident spoken language in both English and Kiswahili.
Number sense built hands-on before it moves to the page — counting, sorting, simple operations.
Early science and social studies through the child's own surroundings — home, school, community.
Art, music, and movement — skills CBC treats as core, not extra.
Values and moral education alongside the academic subjects.
Sharing, turn-taking, and managing big feelings — taught deliberately, not left to chance.
Mornings open with a class circle, then rotate through short, focused lessons — nothing that asks a six-year-old to sit still for an hour. Outdoor play, a supervised meal break, and a rest period are built into every day, not squeezed in if time allows.
Grade 3 learners transition as a class, with teachers on both sides briefed on where each child stands.
